Using tissue or any thin paper is one way to change the color of LED light.
If you need multi color led lights but all you have at home are white LEDs, you can change them to any color you want by following these easy steps. The things you will need are:
- White LED lights
- Tissue paper or any thin paper
- Scissors
- Colored markers
- Clear tape
Note: If you have water clear LEDs, the goal is to give it the effect of a diffused LED to make the color look better.

- Take the paper and cut them into rectangles. The size would depend on the size of your LED; just cut enough to wrap each bulb from the outside. If you are using LED light strips, you must cut small sizes.
- Take your colored markers and shade the papers into your desired colors. Afterwards, fully wrap the paper onto each bulb. Secure them with the clear tape.

- Next, grab your colored marker and shade the whole bulb. Make sure that you cover all the spots, so no white light can escape once you turned it on. Wait until the colors have dried, and if you want to make sure that the LEDs glow nicely, give them another coating.
